When I began blogging, I have to say, I never really expected for my blog to get to a point where it was noticed by any brand/company. I still don’t expect it to be noticed again. However, about a month ago I was asked if I’d be interested in being sent some products to test, which obviously I accepted.
The products I was sent were, as you can tell by the title of the post, all Bluebeards Revenge products.
Bluebeards Revenge Hair Pomade
The hair pomade was probably the one product I was most intrigued by! Probably more because I hadn’t actually heard of it before, maybe I’m stupid, I don’t know. Anyway, as a product its pretty good. The smell as soon as I took the lid off was amazing, I still am yet to pinpoint what the smell is, however it’s worth putting in your hair for the smell alone.
The product however wasn’t the best for my hair type, as my hair is extremely thick and it didn’t seem to be strong enough to hold my hair in place. It may well be that anybody with thick hair needs to use more of the product, but for me personally, I think it would have become obvious that there was a lot of product in my hair.
Bluebeards Revenge Matt Paste
The Matt Paste is my favourite out of the products received. Again, the smell of the product was great and although it didn’t hold as well as I’d like, it held better than the pomade and with a bit of hair spray, it would be a worth-while product. Bluebeards also do other hair products which I am intrigued to try.
Bluebeards Revenge Soap
This is where I have to say as much as I appreciate being sent these products to test, I appreciate those reading my blog a whole lot more. The soap I was sent to test definitely wouldn’t be something I’d buy for myself. My skin felt instantly dry after using the soap and with already having quite temperamental skin, it was a bit of a let down.
Bluebeards Revenge Cooling Moisturiser
I am always hesitant to try new moisturisers through fear that it is going to make my skin worse. Luckily the cooling moisturiser from Bluebeards didn’t do this, however it also didn’t improve my skin. I only tested the product a few times before deciding it wasn’t for me, mainly because my skin was left feeling slightly greasy, which I personally find irritating.
I should repeat that my skin is often very sensitive and temperamental, so anybody who is considering testing these products, do not be put off doing so. Products can be found at: http://www.shaving-shack.com
One really cool thing I did want to point out is the work Bluebeards Revenge are doing with the Orchid male cancer charity, just take a look at inside of the packaging that products come in!
