Hello Hello Hello 🙂

Something not exactly related to Christmas today! I thought I’d do a quick post on this product that I recently tried. I should start off by saying I am not a skincare specialist. I don’t have a lot of knowledge on what ingredients do what to the skin. I just know whether a product has worked for me or not.

Personally, I don’t like spending lots of money on one single product, as I don’t think the cost is a guarantee that it will work. I am also quite confident that there is a product that will improve my skin, on a budget. And I plan to find it.

I found this deep clean face scrub on offer for £2, whilst shopping in ASDA. Usually it’s around £4 or £5, so I decided to give it a try for that price.

—–What is it? What does it do?—–

“A deep cleaning formula which cleanses thoroughly and is clinically proven to fight skin dryness “

—– Does it work? —–

Unfortunately like so many scrubs I’ve tried in the past, this is another product which, “yes it works, but also doesn’t at the same time”.

  • The product is easy to use – Simply wet your face, apply the scrub all over (don’t get it near your eyes, it stings), and rinse off. I prefer products that don’t involve having to wait 15 minutes, especially when using it daily.
  • The scrub is a great cleanser – After just a couple of days of using the product, my skin began feeling cleaner. I have also noticed that I haven’t been getting the odd spot as often as I have done previously, which I’d like to think is a result of using the scrub.

  • My skin is still just as dry – I have to admit I am quite disappointed. One of the main reasons I chose this specific product to try, was because it said it was clinically proven to improve skin dryness. Although it hasn’t necessarily made my skin worse, it certainly hasn’t improved it.

Understandably not all skincare products are going to work for everyone. If you’re looking for something that makes a noticeable  improvement to your dry skin, I’d suggest keep looking. If you’re simply wanting a nice face scrub that cleans well at a fairly low cost, then it’s worth trying!

I’m interested to know if anyone has tried this product before. If so, what did you think of it? Also if anybody has any suggestions of budget products that I should try, please let me know below. 🙂 Thanks!

Enjoy your day!

Chris 🙂
